As an environmentally-conscious company, all our
products are individually hand-made from high quality recycled materials. A lot
of attention is also focused on minimizing the amount of wastage.
It is also our core value to be a socially responsible
corporate citizen in the various communities where we operate in. In line with
that, we employed local indigenous people in poor communities to help us weave
our bags. We pay our
weavers a decent and fair wage that would enable them to have a good standard
of living. At the same time, we are helping to preserve their weaving
traditions and cultural heritage.
We also employ senior citizens to work from home. They
help us to sew the beautiful linings in each Kirei bags.
As a result, our seamstresses have a sense of empowerment, of being in control
of their lives in their old age. We normally ensure that these workers are
given plenty of time to complete each projects and do not subject them to
unnecessary pressure to deliver on short notice. We understand that these
senior citizens would work at a slower pace. Therefore, we schedule the
production of each order very carefully to make sure that the finished product
reached you as fast as possible .
